10 Ways to Go Green and Save Green

Going green is making and taking smart decisions to preserve the planet and natural resources.  From recycling, every decision can help the planet to become a better home for future generations.  The power to impact the environment by making smart choices about what to buy, eat and use, as well as where and how to shop.
Sustainability means supporting the long-term ecological balance of the planet.  Adjust daily routines to become more efficient and produce less waste, to reduce carbon footprint. Saving natural resources, such as forests and oceans, is fundamental.
Keep reading 10 simple things which can help to reduce environmental impact, save money, live a happier and healthier life. 
1.     Save energy to save money – use fluorescent bulb, unplug appliances when it is not in use
2.     Save water to save money – take shorter showers, plant native plants
3.     Less gas = more money(and better health) – walk to work, increase spending time on sidewalks
4.     Eat smart – eat low on food chain especially seafood, buy organic items from farmers
5.     Skip the bottled water – use filter, buy reusable water bottle
6.     Think before buying -  go online shopping, check out garage sales, consignment shops
7.     Borrow instead of buying – borrow from libraries, share power tools
8.     Buy smart – invest in high quality, long lasting products, buy clothes that don’t need to be dry – cleaned.
