Eco Tour

“Let us permit nature to have her way; she understands her business better than we do”

Eco-tour is linked with recreation management programs, the students view at ecotourism as sustainable development, environmental issues, outdoor and nature-based education, and ecological business. This could be in exotic locations or in local, state and national parks, forests and wilderness areas. Kovai kutralam is one such exotic location.
It is an exciting waterfalls situated in Siruvani. The way to the falls is surrounded by thick forests and kannimara teak gardens. The Forest adjacent to the falls is full of wild animals such as Elephants, Leopards, and Panthers etc. The distant view of water smoke painting the sky, the sound of water ventures with great force, the trail entering into the jungle, make one’s heart leap with excitement. Towards the end of the tour, the students also visited some of the retail shop in Coimbatore like Brookefields,Big Bazaar as a part of recreation.
 STARK AND SHARP INDUSTRIES, COIMBATORE

To explore the contemporary issues and business factors, the students went on an industrial visit to Stark Motors and Sharp Industries, Coimbatore on August 24th and 25th 2012, which helped them in acquiring adverse knowledge in their chosen areas of specialization.
According to the industrial expert’s industrial motors manufacturing has tremendous scope for creativity and innovations besides job opportunities and a large number of management and other professionals have evinced their inclination to serve this emerging sector.
This observation is a sheer learning for the students. The student were asked to deliver their observation, exploring the knowledge they gained on the previous day, it was a great learning session and the students benefited a lot from the same.
It can be considered as an interesting guideline for creating sustainable competitive advantage by the organization.
